About the Programme
What can I expect from one week at The Body Camp?
An all-in, expertly planned programme that blends fun outdoor training, mindset coaching and practical skills. You’ll leave with clear habits and momentum you can sustain at home. We focus on long-term lifestyle changes—not crash diets or over-training.
Who comes to The Body Camp?
Body Campers of all ages (typically 18–60), backgrounds and fitness levels. The vibe is inclusive, friendly and supportive—many guests make close friends during the week.
Do you allow villa bookings for groups or corporate teams?
Yes. Group and corporate weeks are great for team building and shared goals. Contact us for dates, availability and tailored quotes.
Who It’s For?
Will I be OK to come on my own?
Absolutely—around half of our Body Campers travel solo and quickly feel at home. If sharing isn’t for you, single rooms are available.
’m 50+ (or 60+) — will I fit in?
Yes. We welcome adults 18+ and regularly host Body Campers in their 20s through 60s. Coaching scales to you, with smart recovery and options to pace sessions—if you have medical concerns, get a doctor’s all-clear before booking.
I’m already pretty fit—will this still challenge me?
Definitely. Programming is progressive with options to push (timed runs, strength circuits, stamina work) while keeping form and recovery on point. Coaches tailor intensity so you and your training partner can do the same session at different levels and both get a serious workout. But always with fun!
Training & Fitness
How hard is the training?
The schedule is all-in (everyone attends) and intelligently balanced across the week. Sessions are coached to your level—expect to be challenged, not broken. You’ll also have teaching, cookery and recovery time for a full reset.
I’m very unfit or overweight—will I cope?
Yes—our coaches scale sessions and support you at the right level. Guests with serious long-term injuries (e.g., spinal issues) may find the programme unsuitable and should seek medical advice before booking.
How much weight will I lose?
Results vary by individual effort, starting point, age and goals—past weeks have ranged from ~0.5 kg down to ~5+ kg. The real win is leaving with habits that keep you progressing; we don’t weigh or measure on site.
Health & Safety
I’m on medication—does this matter?
Please disclose all medication in advance. If you’re on strong medication, you’ll need a doctor’s note confirming you’re fit to participate.
I’m suffering from depression—can I come?
Speak to your doctor first to confirm suitability. We’re not a healthcare or rehab facility and can’t support serious mental-health crises or recent changes in strong medication.
What happens if I injure myself on camp?
Tell a team member immediately so we can document the issue and plan your next steps. Your safety comes first.
What if I’m too injured to continue training?
You can stay for the meals and recovery, or choose to leave; check your travel insurance for coverage as partial refunds aren’t offered. We’ll help you with any documentation needed for claims.
Travel & Arrival
Can I get phone reception?
Yes—but our locations are rural, so Wi-Fi can be intermittent. We encourage a light digital detox so you can fully switch off.
I have a hire car—how do I find you?
You will be added to a WhatsApp group a few days before your arrival; the group will consist of your fellow guests, your Body Camp camp manager, and the UK Bookings Office.
The villa address and all travel directions will be shared in the group, along with a location pin. If you have any issues at all, you can ask within the group or discuss sharing a taxi, etc.
What if I take a taxi or arrive late?
Camp welcome starts at 16:00 (goals, paperwork, intro and evening yoga). Latest same-day arrival is 22:00; otherwise, join at 07:00 the next morning.
Accommodation
How often are bedrooms cleaned?
Shared areas are cleaned daily; rooms are cleaned mid-week (Friday and Monday) and kept to a high standard.
Are towels provided?
Yes—bath and hand towels are provided and refreshed mid-week or as needed. Sports towels are available to purchase.
Food & Nutrition
What times do we eat?
Typically: 08:00 breakfast, 13:00 lunch, 19:00 dinner, plus two snack times. Times may shift slightly on cookery demo days.
What do we eat?
Our menu is primarily plant-based, but you do have the option to add local, organic, free-range meat and eggs should you wish.
We can cater for any dietary requirements or allergies - please make sure you fill in the dietary requirements and/or medical conditions section of your booking check-in details or email the bookings office if you have any serious allergies.
You will also have the opportunity to speak to our chefs about your meals during the Welcome meal on arrival.
I don’t want to lose weight—can you support other goals?
Yes—tell us your aim (e.g., strength or muscle gain) and we’ll adjust portions (e.g., more protein, vegan protein shakes; small supplement applies).
Can you cater for allergies?
Many, yes—please notify us in advance. Food is prepared in a kitchen handling nuts and airborne gluten, so we can’t cater for severe medical allergies requiring clinical supervision.
Treatments & Extras
Are massages available at camp?
Yes—massage and beauty therapists are on site. Book on arrival; your manager will help schedule around the programme.
Can I have beauty treatments during my stay?
Absolutely—there’s a full treatment menu, with a dedicated end-of-week pamper window. You can add more sessions anytime, subject to availability.
Policies
What happens if I arrive under the influence of alcohol or drugs?
For safety, you’ll be asked to leave immediately and no refund will be given. This applies at any time during your stay.
Can we go out in the evenings?
We strongly advise against it; this week is about new habits. Alcohol is not permitted, attendance at meals is expected, and the schedule is all-in.
Are you a rehab or medical facility?
No—we’re a lifestyle, fitness and education retreat. If you need rehab or clinical care, please seek specialist medical services.
