Andalucia is a culturally-rich and diverse region in southern Spain, encompassing everything from traditional whitewashed villages to sun-drenched beaches to fiestas, olive groves and flamenco.
From the grand fortress at Alhambra to the cathedral of Cordoba and the streets of Seville, Spain's rich tapestry of history with its Moorish and Christian influences is visible everywhere. The picturesque town of Ronda, perched at the top of a dramatic gorge, the bustling cities of Seville and Cadiz, and the golden sands of Malaga where the coast runs down to the giant rock of Gibraltar all combine to give a true flavour of Spain.
Our villa is located approximately 50 minutes' drive north of Malaga, near the village of Monterosso. The exact location and address is given out in the welcome email on booking.
You can get to the villa by getting a taxi from the rank outside Malaga International Airport - travel directions are sent ahead of your stay - or by adding one of our packages to your booking, which include return airport transfers.
The word 'cortijo' is a word used in Southern Spain which means a traditional rural dwelling, and this spacious property which was built as a gentleman's residence certainly has all the views and tranquility that you would expect combined with the comforts and style of one of the area's most exclusive buildings.
From the impressive central staircase to the modern, professional kitchen and the ten beautifully-furnished bedrooms, the interiors match the facilities outside for comfort and luxury. The property has its own natural spring water supply, a generous swimming pool and plenty of space in the grounds for our workout areas, dance sessions, and morning wake-up yoga.
Spectacular hiking terrain sits on the doorstep, and you'll get chance to experience this for yourself during the programme - but don't worry, there's also plenty of time to switch off and relax, too.
